Tonight’s dinner was Lamb Burgers on Canyon Bakehouse Gluten Free Buns. I love these buns! They taste really good, and hold up well to a hefty burger with all the fixings piled on. We have used these same buns for Portabella Burgers and they were great!
The white sauce on top of the burger is home made tzatziki sauce. On the side you see avocado, red onion, tomato, green leaf lettuce, and grilled Mexican grey squash.
The burgers themselves are ground lamb, chopped garlic, green bell pepper, and red onion. For a binder there is a heaping teaspoon of golden flax meal. Also a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp of lemon juice and some olive oil. The seasoning in the burger is greek oregano, rosemary, paprika and good old Mr. Dash.
It was really yummy… but I may be almost done with meat. I would have been happy with a smaller portion (much smaller!) that’s for sure. This was about 4 ounces, and then the other stuff added to it.
